Part 2
The building is scaffolded. Windows are
being removed, rebuilt and replaced one by one ... there are thousands.
Exterior painting has started; the colors are a close match to the historic palette.
The walls will be a golden tone, the windows a deep green.
Roof tiles are being repaired, one by one, using a mold. There are perhaps hundreds of thousands!
Roof deck nearly ready for the 'water resisting' roof, which will be UNDERNEATH the metal tiles!
Sesimic upgrade work is underway. In the basement are many new concrete shear walls.
On-site security is constant.
